Frequently asked questions
What is CBD?
CBD is short for cannabidiol, a non-intoxicating cannabinoid found in hemp. CBD is one of the two major cannabinoids found in cannabis plants. There are more than 100 minor cannabinoids also found in the hemp plant. Extractions combining CBD and minor cannabinoids, alongside terpenes, form to make what is known as Full Spectrum CBD. As CBD is non-intoxicating, CBD is an appealing option for individuals seeking alternative remedies for everyday issues
Where does our CBD come from?
Our CBD comes from hemp grown on American farms that use the highest standards of cultivation. We only source our raw ingredients from facilities that use the most advanced hemp extraction methods. We perform internal tests on these raw materials for metals, pesticides and microbials. All our CBD products are sent to external labs for evaluation.
How does it work?
CBD works with a series of receptors such as CB1 and CB2 in your body known as the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS is involved in a lot of important body functions such as antiinflammatory response, immune system, appetite, mood, anxiety levels, sleep schedule and more. CBD is able to counter THC induced effects because the hydroxyl group in its chemical structure binds with CB1 receptors differently than THC, so it does not cause any psychoactive effects.
What is Full Spectrum Hemp oil?
The definition of full spectrum CBD is simple, simply put oil contains all the different forms of cannabidiols present in the Hemp plant. Full spectrum hemp oil contains abundance of CBD, CBG, CBN and less the 0.3% of THC along with naturally occurring Terpenes.
How is CBD is different from THC?
Unlike Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC, the primary psychoactive element in marijuana), CBD is nonpsychoactive, meaning it doesn’t have a strong effect on cognitive brain activity and does not cause the “High” associated with marijuana. Furthermore, with the passing of H.R.5485 also known as The Hemp Farming Act of 2018 , CBD extracted from industrial hemp is now legal in all 50 states and you don't need a Medical Marijuana card to make the purchase.
What is Entourage Effect?
The entourage effect specifically refers to the phenomenon that Full Spectrum hemp products will benefit over isolation of a specific cannabinoid. This means that the terpenes found in full spectrum hemp products act as conductors or facilitators and allow CBD and other cannabinoids to provide stronger health benefits, because all of these substances are together, in their most natural form.
Will CBD get me HIGH?
No, CBD is not intoxicating. DOZO’s CBD products does not have the psychoactive qualities found in THC. While using CBD, you can maintain a clear mind and active lifestyle.
How is Hemp different form Marijuana?
Hemp and Marijuana are from the same species of the plant Cannabis Sativa, there are substantially different form one another. Hemp and Marijuana are different in their chemical composition, genetic make, cultivation and legal definition. Simply put industrial hemp has less than 0.3% of THC by dry weight while marijuana has far more than that. CBD derived from industrial hemp, such as that used in DOZO, is legal at federal level.
Will CBD show up on a drug test?
DOZO’s Full Spectrum oils/tinctures contains CBD which is a LEGAL cannabinoid derived from hemp. It contains minuscule amounts (parts per billion) of THC that COULD show up in a drug screen. DOZO cannot guarantee that you will or will not pass a drug screen due to the number of variables. DOZO Full Spectrum products contain less than .3% THC (.02% to be exact). Drug screens vary and some can be more sensitive than others. If you have to take a drug test, we would recommend using DOZO Broad spectrum product lines as they have zero THC.
